Rei sighed almost anxiously as he tried to distract himself. He'd got a spare change of clothes, he'd got a mat to lay on and a light blanket, it was just warm enough you didn't need anything heavy. His hair was in its normal messy style. The sun was just starting to set over Tokukai Bay.
He was waiting for Kai. As time passed, even though he could only be a few minutes late Rei's worry grew. What if something had cropped up. What if Kai had disappeared again. No don't think of that. He settled himself sat cross legged on the sand near his boat instead listing what he did and didn't have.
Had he remembered drinks. Yes. Had he remembered food. yes. Slowly he went through the list of what he'd need to remember sighing. So he had everything. Where was Kai? He looked around again chewing his lower lip. |

Kai had gotten his hands on different clothes so he was freed from the business suit and now walking in more casual and loose clothes. He walked along the shore of the beach, looking out for where Rei could possibly be, as he had forgotten to ask where on the beach they were to meet.
Soon he saw the familiar figure of the long haired Chinese and approached him, his hands in his pockets as always.

Rei felt before seeing Kai's presence approaching head turning sharply "You made it!" he stated trying to control the happiness. "Sorry, I guess I sort of forgot to tell you whereabouts on beach" he stated as he got to his feet shifting his weight sheepishly from one foot to the other. "But you made it" he'd perked back up again then.
"I've got the boat ready," he added on excitedly "Leaving port next stop Okomara Island," he added on with a grin rather excited and rather expressive compared with his normal composed face, and his normally calm outlook on life |

Again, Kai watched Rei with amusement. When thinking about it, he had done that a lot for this single day and probably was going to do it during the night as well, and the following days. "Well, I didn't exactly remember to ask for directions either, so I believe we're even."
A small smile then came onto his lips, "Shall we get going then?"

Rei nodded then "the boats ready to go," he said checking yep the oars were still there suddenly remembering that one pushing the boat to where it was just afloat in the shallows waiting for Kai to get in before he'd push it out deeper to where he could start to row properly happy. A slight breeze from the ocean ruffled through his hair and he glanced along the horizon line to spot the waiting island. |

Kai followed Rei to the boat and helped with pushing it into the sea. When they were in the boat, he looked up at the sky, watching the sunsetting. The breeze ruffled through his hair as it ruffled through Rei's, and he looked down at the Chinese to watch him... and his pretty face~~

Rei was focused concentrating on his rhythm as he rowed, the boat moving smoothly through the water. On his face was a look of total calm and peace. While he couldn't see it the island was steadily drawing closer with each composed stroke of the oars through the water. The boat moved smoothly bobbing up and down over each small swelling wave. Just as they reached the small bay in the island the sun slipped below the horizon, yet there was still enough light to see a small path. Rei moved easily drawing the boat well up onto the beach where the tide couldn't sweep it away checking all was secured before he glanced at Kai a smile showing again as he took in the Russian in the low light. |

Kai still watched Rei as he rowed, watching how calm it looked like. It made a small smile appear on Kai's lips before he glanced at the island they soon reached with the boat. He stepped out of it to help making sure the boat was secured before he turned to look fully at Rei. The smile on Rei's lips made a smile bigger than the previous ones appear on Kai's lips.

Rei smiled again before he moved "come on, best viewing spot is on the cliffs!" he cried already heading for the path just as sure footed as if it was daylight not starting to fall night time. He did slow a bit to make sure Kai was keeping up though steady. He was just a bit excited to see a meteor shower. Even more so to be sharing it with Kai. Now if only he could pluck up the courage to... no he didn't want to ruin things between them. |

Kai still watched Rei with amusement and headed after Rei. He felt a little rusty when starting to walk through the earthed path but as they got further he got more and more balance and at some point walked next to Rei in Rei's pace.

Rei smiled then easily leading to an obviously often used spot on top of the cliffs. The ground had been worn into a rather comfortable hollow. Slowly Rei spread the mat he'd remembered to bring with him making sure that it'd be big enough for him and Kai before glancing up "just in time," he said softly the sky now dark enough to reveal the first few meteors streaking over the sky. |

Kai had watched Rei with the mat a few seconds before he looked up at the sky to see the first few meteors. He stared at the meteors, even he acknowledging the fact it was amazing to watch these meteors streaking over the sky. He completely forgot to move and just simply stood there, watching the meteors.

Rei smiled a bit able to tell Kai's amazement with his sudden lack of movement. Almost lazily he reached up tugging at his hand "You'll get a stiff neck if you stay standing" he said quietly laying back fully to the most comfortable meteor watching position, shifting to get his ponytail from under him giving a soft peaceful sigh. |

Kai blinked and looked down at Rei as he somewhat returned to reality. A soft sigh escaped his lips before he sat down before he lay down next to Rei and folded his hands behind his head, watching the night sky.

Lost in the moment Rei hadn't fully realised his own motions feeling Kai's warmth next to him caused the slightly shorter Chinese male to move closer against almost nuzzling into keeping his gaze heavenward giving a soft comfortable sigh. "I've always wanted to do this with you" he mumbled forgetting Kai was actually there, it wasn't just his imagination.
If you listened closely you might hear a rather quiet content sounding rumble almost like a slight purr from Rei. |
